Born New Art in SHIBUYA SCRAMBLE SQUARE

渋谷スクランブルスクエア14階で行われるグループ展「Born New Art in SHIBUYA SCRAMBLE SQUARE」に3月22日(月)〜3月28日(日)の間、出展させて頂きました。

この展示では「The Actresses」というテーマを設定しました。

いつの時代にも世界を跨いで活躍する女優たちがいる。
主役を勝ち取り、君臨し続けるパワーは常に時代の象徴となり、世界中に彩りを与え、人々を魅了する。
しかし、そんな女優のほとんどが40歳を前に、主役を降ろされてしまうという現実。
彼女たちは一度女優になれば、常に女優であり、死ぬまで女優で居続ける。
そんな彼女たちの容姿と感情のバランスを描き、展示を考えました。

素晴らしい展示になるように、粘り強くサポートして頂いた主催のプラスアート新田さんにはとても感謝しています。ありがとうございました。

The exhibition theme is "The Actresses"

In every age, there are actresses who are fascinating across the world.
Their power to win the lead and continue to reign has always been a sign of the times, giving color to the world and fascinating people.
However, the reality is that most of these actresses give up their lead before they turn 40.
Nevertheless, once they become actresses, they will always be actresses, and they will remain actresses until they die.
This exhibition featured works depicting the balance between their appearance and emotions.

Can we create a world out of "color" ?

I think the first thing that people recognize when they look at art is the "color". After recognizing the "color", we gradually read the elements, and from the "dots", "lines", and "surfaces", we grasp the "composition", the entire work, and the "meaning of the work". I think that visual communication is achieved through the combination of these various components of art. As artists, I think that our entire creative process is based on the continuous search for ways to express this communication. If the first thing we recognize is "color", I believe that a simple method of expression using "color" can be a very important means of communication. Can we create emotions from "color" ? Can we create words from "color" ? Can you create a story out of "color" ? Can we create an experience from "color" ? Can we create a world out of "color" ? I continue to search for ways to express myself that go beyond "concept of color" from "color".

"transience"

The combination of the paint film cut out over time and the shape of the support material creates an organic presence that goes back and forth between the two. The organic presence that moves back and forth between the two forms the identity of the artist, the subject, and the viewer, and creates a transience on the border between the past and the future called "now. And soon the transience is dispersed to the past and the future. Only "now" is reality, and everything else is a delusional world of past and future. Continuing to search for the "now" may continue to be the material for my work.

"Air"

There is a moment when "air" can be seen. It's the moment when particles flying through the air are bathed in light and reveal themselves. It's a special moment when you feel the beauty in this world. The sensation of this moment may be similar to that of appreciating a work of art. It's the ability of "sensibility" to capture the "air" that exists in the canvas, and the trigger to an everlasting curiosity. It appears in a special moment that transcends "reason","Understanding" and "Intelligence". It's the "light" called "sensitivity" that captures that moment. I would like to always cherish the "light" of "sensitivity.

"It's treasure"

Accidental things and happenings can bring us things that transcend the imagination of a single individual. On the other hand, I think there is a limit to the art that can be done by planning.

"The Feel"

In my work, blobs of many colors of acrylic paint on canvas create colors and flashes that remind me of beautiful waves. At times, the sunlight streaming through the window brings out the texture, creating a sculpture of color. You can also feel the world differently on cloudy days, rainy days, and the four seasons.

"Imagine"

Who is crazy and what is crazy? Is it the author that's crazy? Is it the work that's crazy? Or is it the viewer who understands the situation that is crazy? As if in response to the work, the story repeats itself in time and space without meshing. And each time, the story changes into a different form. In the first place, the work itself is an Imagine. And the viewer is also imagining. Therefore, it is wonderful that the work is structured in such a way that it is impossible to trace the same state from the beginning. I am glad that this confusion is maintained until the end, and that we can always fall into a new confusion.
