After working in creative fields such as music, design, and video, began an artistic career in 2021. With the concept of “pursuing intrinsic value beyond superficiality,” creates works that reinterpret and abstract the appearances of prominent figures such as musicians and actors using large amounts of paint. Has also engaged in corporate collaborations with the apparel brand “HARE” and the art materials brand “LIQUITEX.” In order to keep the focus on the concept of the work, has consistently kept nationality, gender, age, and real face undisclosed.
音楽、デザイン、映像といったクリエイティブ領域での活動を経て、2021年よりアーティスト活動を開始。「表層に囚われない本質的な価値の追求」をコンセプトに、ミュージシャンや俳優などの著名な人物を題材に、彼らの容姿を大量の絵の具で抽象化し、再解釈した作品を制作。アパレルブランド「HARE」や画材ブランド「LIQUITEX」との企業コラボレーションも行う。作品コンセプトにフォーカスして欲しいという想いから、国籍・性別・年齢・素顔などは一貫して非公開としている。
◆ ARTIST STATEMENT
Age, gender, nationality, race—these are symbols of diversity that should be respected in modern society, yet deep-rooted biases remain a significant challenge. Moreover, in an age overflowing with information, these challenges are becoming even more pressing.
neunoa's work consists of portraits of well-known figures, such as actors and musicians, serving as symbols of our information-driven society. The distinctive feature of these works is the use of paint, as a metaphor for the overwhelming influx of information, to boldly obscure the visual characteristics of these figures. In doing so, the works function as a means to delve into and understand the essence of the person, regardless of their fame.
Similarly, it suggests the importance of adopting a perspective that focuses on the inner self and essence of the people we encounter daily, rather than being confined by appearances or societal frameworks.
By focusing on the inner self and essence of individuals, we can respect and understand one another, ultimately building a richer, more harmonious society.
It is my hope that neunoa's works will sharpen the viewer's sense of identity and serve as a trigger to see the true nature of modern society as it is.

これらは現代社会において尊重されるべき多様性の象徴でありながら、依然として根深い偏見が大きな課題となっている。さらに、情報が溢れる社会の中で、その課題はますます深刻化している。
NEUNOAの作品は、情報社会の象徴として、俳優や歌手などの著名人をモチーフにしたポートレートです。作品の特徴は、溢れる情報のメタファーとしての絵具を用い、著名人の視覚的特徴を大胆に塗りつぶすことで、著名であるかどうかに関わらず、その人の内面や本質を深く理解するための手段として機能させている。
同様に、我々が日々出会う人々に対しても、外見や社会的な枠組みに囚われることなく、その内面や本質を見つめる視点を持つことの重要性を示唆している。
人々の内面や本質を見つめることで、互いを尊重し、理解し合い、より豊かで調和のとれた社会を築いていく。
NEUNOAの作品が、鑑賞者のアイデンティティを研ぎ澄まし、現代社会の本質をありのままに見つめるためのトリガーとなることを願っています。
